{"id":74581,"date":"2019-02-19T02:50:03","date_gmt":"2019-02-19T00:50:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=74581"},"modified":"2019-02-19T02:50:03","modified_gmt":"2019-02-19T00:50:03","slug":"tamanyawaka-chirwa-returns","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/02\/19\/tamanyawaka-chirwa-returns\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamanyawaka Chirwa returns"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Sam Banda Jnr: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_74585\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-74585\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/tamanyawaka-chavula.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-74585\" src=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/tamanyawaka-chavula-300x247.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"247\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/tamanyawaka-chavula-300x247.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/02\/tamanyawaka-chavula.jpg 444w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-74585\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TAMANYAWAKA\u2014I have more singles coming out<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After being silent for some time, the country\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/tamanyawaka-chavula-moves-to-ivory-coast-2\/\">Ivory Coast-based<\/a> female reggae musician, Tamanyawaka Chavula, returns to the stage next month.<\/p>\n<p>Tamanyawaka said Monday she has been out of the stage, hence coming out with concerts to connect with the fans.<\/p>\n<p>The concerts will see her sharing the stage with, among others, Black Missionaries and other Chileka siblings.<\/p>\n<p>The shows are scheduled for March 1 2019 at Motel Paradise in Blantyre and March 3 2019 at M1 Centre Point in Lilongwe.<\/p>\n<p>Tamanyawaka said Monday from Ivory Coast she has been active working on songs but felt it wise to hold some concerts.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being tagged Tamanyawaka\u2019s Homecoming concerts, the artist said she is not coming for good but will be around for some time before going back.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe main reason for the concerts are that it has been sometime since I connected with my fans in Malawi. So it is all about connection and I am looking forward to the concerts,\u201d<\/em> Tamanyawaka, said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>She also said that, after finding her roots in Chileka, where her father comes from, the concerts are a perfect homecoming party.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI grew up not knowing my father but I finally connected with him four years ago. So it is a warm feeling to know my roots,\u201d<\/em> Tamanyawaka, said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The female artist has three albums to her credit, namely <em>Diso la Yehova, Ndadza Ndi Nyimbo <\/em>and <em>Reggae in Riddims. <\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI have more singles coming out as well as a new album titled Reggalised. I also have a latest single \u2018Kaya Kuwala\u2019 a House of Riddim Production. Kuwala is a House of Riddim worldwide project.
