{"id":74479,"date":"2019-02-15T10:50:50","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T08:50:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=74479"},"modified":"2019-02-15T10:50:50","modified_gmt":"2019-02-15T08:50:50","slug":"atusaye-nyondo-joins-joseph-kamwendo-in-south-africa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2019\/02\/15\/atusaye-nyondo-joins-joseph-kamwendo-in-south-africa\/","title":{"rendered":"Atusaye Nyondo joins Joseph Kamwendo in South Africa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Williams Gondwa: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The gods have finally smiled on former Malawi national football team striker Atusaye Nyondo after he finally joined compatriot <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/more-in-my-legs-joseph-kamwendo\/\">Joseph Kamwendo<\/a> at South Africa National First Division side Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM).<\/p>\n<p>Nyondo had been clubless after being offloaded by the Rainbow Nation\u2019s Premier Soccer League side Bloemfontein Celtic, where he was deemed surplus to requirements.<\/p>\n<p>The former Silver Strikers goalpoacher has signed a three-year contract at TTM, ending his search for a club after spending almost a year on the sidelines.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking in a telephone interview from South Africa, Nyondo said he was excited to join Kamwendo at TTM.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cI am very happy to sign for this club. It was not easy to find a club after parting ways with Bloemfontein Celtic last year. I will work hard to help my new club fulfill its mission of earning promotion to the elite league,\u201d<\/em> Nyondo said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He expressed hope that the move would help him return to the national team setup.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThis is a great move for me. As you are aware, I have been sidelined from national team duties because I was not attached to any club but, this time, I am sure I will be considered.
