This is what we have failed to do as an industry,\u201d<\/em> Lulu said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The musician through Mathumela Studios has worked with several musicians with the latest being a recording of Lucius Banda\u2019s tribute of Zimbabwean legend Oliver Mtukudzi.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe want to have top artists from across the world come here and record their songs. It is a journey we are starting now and we are serious with what we are doing. This is why we are trying as much to court international artists through performances in the country,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Of late Lulu has also been working with other top artists such as Erik Paliani, who has also set up a studio in Mchinji aiming to attract international artists to come to Malawi.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cAs I said, we cannot do it, we have the potential but all we need is to be given a hand. We can only excel if we get support from the government and the corporate world. The creative industry has been sidelined for a long time,\u201d<\/em> Lulu said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Meanwhile, Lulu and his Mathumela Band have announced a Valentines Special show to be held at Capital City Motel that has attracted different artists including Zambia\u2019s B1.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe feel we need to give something to the people ahead of Valentine\u2019s Day. This is part of also attracting international artists to record their songs with Mathumela,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lulu said they have settled for B1 because he has more love songs that could entertain people during Valentine\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cB1 will arrive on February 13 ahead of the show on February 14.
