Now the financial year is coming to an end.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThere are several projects we approved in Parliament but are not taking off. We are looking forward to the construction of a youth centre, civic offices, Mzuzu District Hospital and Mzuzu stadium. Funds for all these projects were approved but there is little commitment from the government,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Minister of Information, who is also government spokesperson, Henry Mussa, could not be reached for a comment but, former government spokesperson, Nicholas Dausi, is on record to have said the government has the welfare of people in the Northern Region at heart.<\/p>\n<p>He cited completion of projects such as Mzuzu- Nkhata Bay Road, Mzuzu dual carriage way, and Nkhata Bay District Hospital, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on progress of the relocation of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/no-contractor-yet-for-new-mzuzu-airport\/\">Mzuzu Airport<\/a> to Lusangazi, Finance Minister Goodall Gondwe is on record to have said funds are available.<\/p>\n<p>Gondwe said what remains is for the ministry responsible to finalise the list of people, at Lusangazi, who are supposed to be compensated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Feston Malekezo: Stakeholders have bemoaned delays in constructing learning and transport infrastructure that got Parliament\u2019s nod.
