{"id":7324,"date":"2015-08-11T10:25:08","date_gmt":"2015-08-11T10:25:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=7324"},"modified":"2015-08-11T10:25:08","modified_gmt":"2015-08-11T10:25:08","slug":"paladin-boss-steps-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/08\/11\/paladin-boss-steps-down\/","title":{"rendered":"Paladin boss steps down"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Paladin Energy Limited, whose subsidiary is mining uranium at Kayelekera in Karonga, on Monday announced the stepping down of its long serving managing director and chief executive officer, John Borshoff.<\/p>\n<p>Borshoff was instrument in Paladin\u2019s investment in the Kayelekera Uranium mine in Karonga and has visited Malawi many times, including at the time of the commissioning of Kayelekera in 2009.<\/p>\n<p>Paladin Energy Chairman Tich Crabb said in a statement yesterday that a process to identify a suitable new CEO is underway and that in the interim, Alexander Molyneux has been appointed acting CEO.<\/p>\n<p>He said under Borshoff\u2019s stewardship, Paladin has built a unique position in the uranium mining industry and he is recognised as a world authority in this realm.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn behalf of the board, I cannot thank John enough for having the vision, tenacity and spirit to create and lead Paladin,\u201d reads the statement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Paladin Energy Limited, whose subsidiary is mining uranium at Kayelekera in Karonga, on Monday announced the stepping down of its long serving managing director and chief executive officer, John Borshoff.
