So, it will be done on rotational basis and members will bid to run it at any particular point in time,\u201d<\/em> Ndanga said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But Ndanga emphasised that the acquisition of the building does not mean the chapter has wound up its fundraising activities, saying they are still mobilising resources for completion of the building.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe building that we bought is incomplete. And we will fundraise again to allow us to complete works on the building so that the secretariat can move in by mid this year. On the training side, we have partnered DW Akademie, Germany\u2019s leading organisation for media development, and Deutsche Welle\u2019s Centre of Excellence for Education and Knowledge Transfer in establishing the centre, which will provide us with internet and computers, among other things,\u201d<\/em> she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Misa-Malawi established a fundraising committee in September 2017 to raise resources for an office building for the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>The group set a target of K30 million for the project and, so far, it has raised K14 million.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Watipaso Mzungu, Contributor: Media Institute of Southern Africa (Misa)- Malawi Chapter on Saturday took journalists to its newly\u2014acquired building at Lilaga Community Complex in Lilongwe to appreciate what the chapter has acquired.
