{"id":72490,"date":"2018-12-25T06:44:57","date_gmt":"2018-12-25T04:44:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=72490"},"modified":"2018-12-25T06:44:57","modified_gmt":"2018-12-25T04:44:57","slug":"2018-season-ends-with-big-bullets-crowning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/12\/25\/2018-season-ends-with-big-bullets-crowning\/","title":{"rendered":"2018 season ends with Big Bullets crowning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Mphatso Malidadi: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_71013\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-71013\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/callisto-pasuwa.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-71013\" src=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/callisto-pasuwa-300x134.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"134\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/callisto-pasuwa-300x134.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/callisto-pasuwa-768x342.jpg 768w, https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/callisto-pasuwa.jpg 820w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-71013\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">ACHIEVED BULLETS<br \/>TARGET\u2014Pasuwa<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Having walked on a long, winding road through the 2018 season, Nyasa Big Bullets were finally crowned TNM Super League champions after staging a comeback to defeat Civil Sporting Club 2-1 at Kamuzu Stadium Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets secured the title about two weeks ago when they beat Red Lions 3-0 at Balaka Stadium, effectively condemning the soldiers to the second tier Southern Region Football Association League\u2019s Premier Division.<\/p>\n<p>Civil, in an act of sportsmanship, humbled themselves and accorded Bullets a guard of honour after Silver Strikers declined to do the same in a midweek fixture last week.<\/p>\n<p>However, Civil threatened to spoil Bullets\u2019 coronation party when they took the lead through Innocent Tanganyika\u2019s clever finish two minutes into added time of the first half.<\/p>\n<p>It was clear that the game lacked pace and flair as both teams had nothing to fight for.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, Bullets restored order through substitute Hasan Kajooke, who converted in the 49th minute.<\/p>\n<p>Kajoke claimed a brace from the penalty spot after fellow substitute MacFarlen Mgwira was tripped in the 18-yard box seven minutes to full time.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets\u2019 Zimbabwean mentor, Kallisto Pasuwa, who looks set to be offered a year-long contract after delivering the championship, said his players were outstanding.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe players did their best despite being tired after a long season and it is good that we have won [the game],\u201d<\/em> Pasuwa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Civil Coach, Franco Ndawa, said his troops were affected by Bullets\u2019 second goal.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cThe second goal should not have stood. It was not a clear penalty.
