Charles Manda has been named as an assistant to Swaziland\u2019s Mbabane Highlanders\u2019 new coach, Meke Mwase; effectively re-uniting the former Flames and Be Forward Wanderers defenders.<\/p>\n
Swaziland Observer <\/em>newspaper reported on Friday that Manda, who quit Mbabane\u2019s Malanti Chiefs recently, was unveiled during a press conference held at the BPL Telecommunications head offices in the Swazil capital on Thursday.<\/p>\n \u201cI am ready to work together with the head coach in reviving the team and I strongly believe that we can achieve a lot if we stand united,\u201d said the soft-spoken Manda who joined the team on a one- year renewable contract.<\/p>\n Manda and Mwase were Flames\u2019 regulars in the 1990s, hence they are obviously excited to work together in foreign land. both are highly qualified coaches with Caf and Uefa badges.<\/p>\n Highlanders\u2019 managing director, Bheki \u2018Rubber\u2019 Simelane, said they had identified Manda as the right person to assist Mwase, who was unveiled last month. Highlanders initially failed to lure Ernest Mtawali and Young Chimodzi.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are pleading with our supporters to rally behind the technical team in order to achieve our mandate of bringing back the glory days.
