I have several gold medals after excelling in international competitions. Now it is time to retire but I need to finish with success in the Comrades Marathon,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.times.mw\/henry-moyo-fired-up-for-two-oceans\/\">Moyo<\/a> said he will also compete in South Africa\u2019s Heroes Mandela Marathon on December 22 to qualify for the Comrades Marathon.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe also have the Blantyre City Marathon on November 18, so I need to play my cards well. I need to prepare well for all these competitions. I missed last year\u2019s Comrades Marathon because of injury but I am alright now. I feel very fit and energetic to do well,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Moyo has been a dominant runner in the Blantyre City Marathon which was previously known as Nico Marathon. He is the competition\u2019s record holder after clocking 2:18:11 in 2003.<\/p>\n<p>He also won gold medals in the Comrades, Two Oceans and the Kuala Lumpur marathons besides also competing in other countries such as China and North Korea.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Ronald Mpaso: Veteran long distance runner Henry Moyo is planning to retire next year after more than two decades on the track.
