{"id":71441,"date":"2018-11-09T00:56:56","date_gmt":"2018-11-08T22:56:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=71441"},"modified":"2018-11-09T00:56:56","modified_gmt":"2018-11-08T22:56:56","slug":"tigresses-kukoma-diamonds-battle-for-pride","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/11\/09\/tigresses-kukoma-diamonds-battle-for-pride\/","title":{"rendered":"Tigresses, Kukoma Diamonds battle for pride"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Mphatso Malidadi: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Revived Tigresses are determined to continue with their outstanding form when they face rivals Kukoma Diamonds in a Rainbow Paints Blantyre and Districts Netball League tie set for Blantyre Youth Centre on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Tigresses, having been out of the top four on the log table for a good part of the current season, moved to second position following their recent victory over Thunder Queens.<\/p>\n<p>Tiga Coach, Peace Chawinga Kaluwa, said they would approach the game cautiously as losing was not an option.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe are taking this game seriously. We also want to use it to assess our players ahead of other competitions such as the Presidential Cup,\u201d<\/em> Chawinga-Kaluwa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>After a long battle surrounding the eligibility of all-rounder Lauren Ngwira, Tigresses finally welcomed the Malawi national netball team player with the win over Thunder.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cExcept for two or three players, we have most of the players that we need for this game,\u201d<\/em> Chawinga-Kaluwa said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Diamonds assistant Coach, Noel Mussa, said his team is aiming at maintaining its unbeaten run.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cEvery game is crucial for us. We have told ourselves that there is no team we can underrate.
