The Southern Region Inter- Cricket League will be extended by three more weeks to make up for the recent break.<\/p>\n
The inter-cricket league returned last month after a month-long break. The league went on recess to allow Muslim players observe Ramadan.<\/p>\n
The league\u2019s organising secretary, Saeed Limdawala, said they were planning of concluding the league in three weeks time to make up for the break.<\/p>\n
\u201cHowever, every team appreciated the break and they don\u2019t mind extending the league for some more weeks,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Limdawala said the league had been competitive as teams were battling to be the first champions.<\/p>\n
He also said the final two quarterfinal games would take place on Sunday having concluded the first two set last weekend.<\/p>\n
During the first quarterfinal match at Mpingwe Sports Club on Sunday, Right Price Mpingwe Purple beat Kukoma Mpingwe Grey to reach the semifinals.<\/p>\n
Kukoma made 152 in 20- over and in response Right Price made those runs in 19-over.<\/p>\n
In the second game, favourites MSC Anchor Industry Silver lost to MSC Orange.<\/p>\n
Mpingwe Anchor made139 runs in 20-over. Sohel Rustam made 75 runs but he could not save his team. In reply, Orange made those runs in 19.3-over.<\/p>\n
The champions of the Inter- Cricket League will receive a trophy and medals. The organizers feel the arrangement would motivate players and teams to play out of passion.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
