The milestones achieved in the areas of agriculture, health, trade and investment, infrastructure development, capacity-building and humanitarian assistance have significantly contributed to the improvement of livelihoods of Malawians,\u201d<\/em> Tembenu said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Tembenu said time had come for Malawians to learn best practices from the Chinese Economic Model with a view to adapt and apply them where necessary to lift themselves out of the pit of poverty.<\/p>\n<p>Chinese Ambassador to Malawi, Liu Hongyang, said his government would maintain its policy on diplomatic relations, including non-interference in African countries\u2019 pursuit of development paths that fit their national conditions.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe will maintain our no interference [policy] in African internal affairs;[that is] no imposition of our will on African countries; no attachment of political strings to assistance to African countries; and no seeking selfish political gains in investment and financing cooperation with Africa,\u201d<\/em> Hongyang said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Watipaso Mzungu, Contributor: Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Samuel Tembenu, has praised the Chinese government for technical and financial support it provides to Malawi.
