I feel that there are several Malawians who can be honoured or given a statue,\u201d<\/em> Mvula said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He said the fact that the Indian Embassy will fund the statue does not justify erecting it in Blantyre but rather it would make sense if it were built at the premises of the embassies.<\/p>\n<p>However, BCC Public Relations Manager, Anthony Kasunda, during a recent media tour of the construction site, said the project is part of honouring the Indian Embassy.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWe did not choose it. It is the Indian High Commissioner [who did].
