\"\"<\/a>Nyasa Big Bullets<\/a> Chief Executive Officer, Fleetwood Haiya, has said the amount of money the club generated following the training match involving senior and reserve sides is not for public consumption.<\/p>\n

Spectators who thronged Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre to watch the two teams in action paid K1,000 each to gain entry to the open stands.<\/p>\n

Bullets\u2019 main team defeated the reserve side 2-1.<\/p>\n

Striker Bright \u2018Bweke\u2019 Munthali scored a brace for the seniors whereas Innocent Msowoya, younger brother to the People\u2019s Team\u2019s seasoned striker Chiukepo, was on target for the reserves.<\/p>\n

Haiya said the friendly was not about money but rather assessing players from the reserve side as well as preparing the main side ahead of the Carlsberg Cup round-of-16 tie against Southern Region Football Association League Premier Division side Changalume Barracks.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe wanted the senior side\u2019s technical panel to identify promising players that should be considered for promotion. We also wanted to inspire the lads to aim at playing for the main team.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cThrough the match, coaches for the main team got the chance to prepare for Changalume. Our reserve side competes in the same division as Changalume and they gave us an idea of what to expect,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Haiya said the match also allowed Bullets to assess the performance of their newly-trained stewards.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the first time, we saw stewards performing wonders in crowd control. We are happy that they put into practice what they learnt during the training,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bullets mentor, Rodgers Yasini, said, after facing their junior side, he knows what to expect from Changalume on Friday at Kamuzu Stadium.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was important to take them on as they are also playing some good football and they are on top of the Premier Division log table. We now know what to do as we face Changalume,\u201d<\/em> he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Bullets Reserve Coach, Enos Chatama, said his charges were tired after beating Ntopwa 3-0 in a Premier Division match on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had a difficult game on Saturday against Ntopwa and playing against our seniors a day later was even more tricky. But they deserved to win,\u201d<\/em> Chatama said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
