{"id":6823,"date":"2015-07-31T09:39:23","date_gmt":"2015-07-31T09:39:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=6823"},"modified":"2015-07-31T09:39:23","modified_gmt":"2015-07-31T09:39:23","slug":"nbs-bank-gives-away-baling-jacks-in-promo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/07\/31\/nbs-bank-gives-away-baling-jacks-in-promo\/","title":{"rendered":"NBS Bank gives away baling jacks in promo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi Stock Exchange listed commercial bank, NBS Bank, on Tuesday gave away tobacco baling jacks to three winners in each of the country\u2019s three regions during a draw of its Mgodi Wanga promotion held in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>The draw saw Likhuku Burley Club of Mulanje, Ovias Gongowa of Lilongwe and Magaisa Phiri of Mzuzu carting home a baling jack each.<\/p>\n<p>NBS Bank Head of Personal and Business Banking, Mercus Chigoga, said the K30 million promotion seeks to reward tobacco growers and transporters for doing business with the bank.<\/p>\n<p>Chigoga said the bank is impressed with the excitement the promotion has generated so far.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe promotion, whose grand prize is a brand-new Nissan single-cab pick-up, is aimed at encouraging tobacco farmers and transporters to save their money for the next growing season,\u201d said Chigoga.<\/p>\n<p>To enter the promotion, growers or transporters are expected to deposit a minimum of K100,000 in a fixed deposit account or K30,000 in an Easy Alimi account for a period up to October 20, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the pick-up, other prizes in the promotion included bags of fertiliser and ox-carts as well as branded T-Shirts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi Stock Exchange listed commercial bank, NBS Bank, on Tuesday gave away tobacco baling jacks to three winners in each of the country\u2019s three regions during a draw of its Mgodi Wanga promotion held in Blantyre.
