I just had to do more and not disappoint the audience, I know I still have more homework to do but I am surely going in the right direction,” the musician said.

A product of Music Club situated at HHI in Blantyre led by veteran Francis Mijiga, John Fire said he banked his performance on the experience of experience and creativity of the upcoming artists.

“Most of all, I just want to thank God for making this happen,” he said.

Mijiga, who also shined on the night with Spare Fingers offering a dose of jazz, said he was happy to see one of his products do wonders. The other members of Spare Fingers are Uncle Robinson and TJ.

“It was a fantastic launch, lots of energy and happiness from John Fire and then we also had several products from Music Club. We actually have an extension at Liverpool Wellcome Trust,” Mijiga said.

The concert, which was supported by Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust, Blantyre Music Club and Powertex Malawi Limited, also saw performances from Waliko Makhala and Josh.

Musician John Ndaferankhande proved his nickname Fire on Friday when he gave out a splendid performance during the launch of his second album Emmanuel at Jacaranda Cultural Centre (JCC) in Blantyre.
