{"id":66460,"date":"2018-06-07T10:47:16","date_gmt":"2018-06-07T08:47:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=66460"},"modified":"2018-06-07T10:47:16","modified_gmt":"2018-06-07T08:47:16","slug":"story-workshop-trains-field-producers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/06\/07\/story-workshop-trains-field-producers\/","title":{"rendered":"Story workshop trains field producers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of efforts to promote health-seeking behaviour among Malawians, Story Workshop Educational Trust has trained 17 field producers to help in production of programmes for Health Communication for Life Project, locally branded Moyo ndi Mpamba.<\/p>\n<p>The Social behaviour Change Communication Project aims at supporting the Ministry of Health and Population Services in promoting behaviour change among populations that are deemed to be at risk of infections.<\/p>\n<p>Moyo ndi Mpamba Project Officer, Jethro Banda, said the trained field producers would help Story Workshop develop materials for radio, television and print programmes based on real life issues in 16 targeted districts.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are certain that, with the trained field producers, Moyo ndi Mpamba programmes will reflect issues happening on the ground in various communities, which will motivate [targeted audiences to embrace] behaviour change,\u201d Banda said.<\/p>\n<p>Blantyre District Health Officer, Gift Kawalazira, commended Story Workshop for the training, saying it would address some of the health challenges affecting the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe, as government, are pleased that the field producers have been trained.
