South Africa\u2019s Bafana Bafana thrashed Namibia 4-1 on a chilly Tuesday evening at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium to book a date against Botswana in the Plate final of the Cosafa Cup which is underway in Polokwane, South Africa.<\/p>\n
Having been booted out 4-3 on post-match penalties from the mainstream Cosafa Cup on June 3, Bafana Bafana came out strongly to demolish the Namibians with Man of The Match Lebohang Maboe scoring a double. Aubrey Modiba and Captain Siyanda Xulu completed the rout.<\/p>\n
\u201cI think we came back very strongly. We knew that we lost our first game. We had to show character coming into this game which I think we did very well; hence, we won the game,\u201d Maboe told SuperSport Television.<\/p>\n
Deon Hotto pulled one back for Namibia, who, alongside Swaziland\u2014 who lost 2-0 in another plate semi-final played at the same venue\u2014are going back home.<\/p>\n
Botswana overcame Swaziland 2-0 after scoring in either half through the competition\u2019s overall leading scorer with five goals, Onkabetse Makgantai, and Gape Mohutsiwa.<\/p>\n
The plate final is scheduled for Friday at New Peter Mokaba Stadium which is located a few metres away from the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.<\/p>\n
In the mainstream competition, Madagascar locked horns with Zambia in the semi-final as holders Zimbabwe tussled with Lesotho at New Peter Mokaba Stadium yesterday evening.<\/p>\n
The final for the main cup is scheduled for Saturday at New Peter Mokaba Stadium.<\/p>\n
