{"id":65719,"date":"2018-05-24T10:27:43","date_gmt":"2018-05-24T08:27:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=65719"},"modified":"2018-05-24T10:27:43","modified_gmt":"2018-05-24T08:27:43","slug":"golfers-donate-to-bwaila-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/05\/24\/golfers-donate-to-bwaila-hospital\/","title":{"rendered":"Golfers donate to Bwaila Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Seasoned golfer Gift Kawamba and Sue Makin emerged champions in men\u2019s and women\u2019s categories for Shankers Golf Tournament held at Lilongwe Golf Club over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Kawamba and Makin outclassed fellow golfers to win the tournamen t which Shankers, a group of Lilongwe golfers, organised to bid farewell to their member Mathew Nviiri, who is returning to Uganda.<\/p>\n<p>Shankers also donated assorted medical equipment to Bwaila Hospital to alleviate the challenges which the facility faces.<\/p>\n<p>Shankers Captain, Shepherd Tembo, said: \u201cWe were so touched that the facility was in dire need of equipment.
