{"id":65716,"date":"2018-05-24T10:25:30","date_gmt":"2018-05-24T08:25:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=65716"},"modified":"2018-05-24T10:25:31","modified_gmt":"2018-05-24T08:25:31","slug":"blue-eagles-fly-to-zambia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/05\/24\/blue-eagles-fly-to-zambia\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Eagles fly to Zambia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Four Blue Eagles volleyball teams are expected to leave for Lusaka this afternoon to participate in Zambia Invitational Volleyball Tournament.<\/p>\n<p>The competition throws off Friday and ends on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>Making the trip will be youth and senior teams in the men\u2019s and ladies categories.<\/p>\n<p>Coach for Eagles\u2019 youth and ladies teams, Peter Pemba, said competing in the tournament will prepare them for various tournaments that are on this year\u2019s calendar.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are several tournaments on the local and international calendar between now and next year. Performing well in such events requires thorough preparations and we believe the trip to Zambia will make a big difference,\u201d Pemba said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the goal of the trip is to help turn Eagles\u2019 teams into competitive entities for international tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles Ladies\u2019 senior side will not be playing outside the country for the first time as they represented Malawi at last year\u2019s Zone VI Senior Volleyball Club Championship in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, where they lost all three games .<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four Blue Eagles volleyball teams are expected to leave for Lusaka this afternoon to participate in Zambia Invitational Volleyball Tournament.
