{"id":65576,"date":"2018-05-22T05:51:56","date_gmt":"2018-05-22T03:51:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=65576"},"modified":"2018-05-22T05:51:57","modified_gmt":"2018-05-22T03:51:57","slug":"brenda-chombo-banda-back","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/05\/22\/brenda-chombo-banda-back\/","title":{"rendered":"Brenda Chombo Banda back"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After staying out of the limelight for someone, gospel singer Brenda Chombo Banda has returned with a new album <em>Favour<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Brenda admitted yesterday that she has not been active.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have been silent and that is true but that is because I was busy doing pastoral work in different districts, I was in Chikwawa for over four years, then moved to Ntcheu for another two and half years and now I am back in Blantyre,\u201d the singer said.<\/p>\n<p>She said her <em>Favour <\/em>album was ready and that she will be launching it on June 2 2018 at Sunbird Mount Soche in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor those who have followed my music, this is my fifth album so it has been a long journey but I am happy that all the other albums did well on the market. In this album, I have not changed my style but what I have done is to put in worship songs,\u201d Brenda said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Favour has a variety of taste in that he has recorded it with three engineers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will be doing my shows differently now. The launch at Sunbird Mount Soche will only have two supporting acts and these are Patience Namadingo and Eliza Mponya,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>Brenda also said she has managed to work on music videos for some of the songs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Favour <\/em>is a 12-track album and some of the songs are \u2018Kulandira\u2019, \u2018Faithful\u2019, \u2018Mundilengere Mtima\u2019, \u2018Heal Me Oh Lord\u2019 and \u2018Inenso ndi Munthu\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>In the song \u2018Inenso ndi Munthu\u2019, Brenda has added her voice in fighting for the rights of people living with albinism.<\/p>\n<p>Brenda\u2019s previous albums are S<em>halom, Moriah, Sankha Yesu <\/em>and <em>Come Worship <\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After staying out of the limelight for someone, gospel singer Brenda Chombo Banda has returned with a new album Favour.
