Senior golfer Sope Kayira and Jeong-ok Yoo dominated AuditConsult Golf Tournament at Country Club Limbe in Blantyre on Monday, Kamuzu Day.<\/p>\n
Kayira, playing off handicap 13, scored 41 points to outclass 48 golfers.<\/p>\n
The club\u2019s stand-in Captain, Chapusa Phiri, playing off handicap 22, was counted in to finish as a runner-up with 40 points.<\/p>\n
Developmental golfer, Folindo Rodrick, playing off handicap eight, was counted out to occupy third position.<\/p>\n
Kayira said he gained confidence that he could win after collecting 21 points on the front nine.<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom that moment, I composed myself and concentrated much because the greens were playing so well,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In the ladies\u2019 section, Yoo was on cloud nine after dominating it. Playing off handicap 30, Yoo scored the day\u2019s most points, 43.<\/p>\n
She also won the nearest to the pin on hole 13 and longest drive on hole 18.<\/p>\n
In her brief speech, Yoo said was happy to win and loved the country.<\/p>\n
Ladies\u2019 golfer of the moment, Bose Kamphulusa, settled for second position, with 39 points.<\/p>\n
In other subsidiary prizes, Rashid Salimu won the longest drive in men\u2019s section on hole 18 whereas Chiukepo Gondwe and Gilbert Chirwa [not the former footballer] won two clubs.<\/p>\n
Audit Consult Partner, David Mhango, promised to turn the competition into an annual event.<\/p>\n
