Azam Tigers Technical Director, Robin Alufandika, has said the team\u2019s lead on the TNM Super League log table is not worth smiling about yet.<\/p>\n
Alufandika was reacting to the latest fixture which indicates that they will face Red Lions this weekend at Mulanje Park Stadium, to make it a fourth consecutive home game for Tigers.<\/p>\n
He said the team, which leads the log table with 11 points from five games, needs to play more away games to know their real strength.<\/p>\n
Tigers started the season away in a goalless draw against Karonga United.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are building false confidence that we are a good side based on our recent performance at our home ground. Of course, a win or a draw at home is important as we need to utilise home-ground advantage. However, we have no powers to reverse fixtures. We just follow Super League of Malawi\u2019s fixtures,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
In other home matches, Tigers defeated Moyale Barracks 3-2, Be Forward Wanderers 2-0, Mafco 3-0 and drew 1-1 against Kamuzu Barracks.<\/p>\n
Football analyst Higger Mkandawire has since concurred with Alufandika\u2019s observation.<\/p>\n
