TNM Super League leaders, Azam Tigers, have named Richard Fosko as their new Head Coach, ending a long search that started before the end of last season.<\/p>\n
Tigers finished the 2017 season and started the current season without a coach after the resignation of Patrick Kulemeka.<\/p>\n
Both Tigers Technical Director, Robin Alufandika, and Fosko confirmed the development on Friday.<\/p>\n
Fosko said the two parties have sealed a year-long deal.<\/p>\n
The coach admitted that he expects to face a challenging task as Tigers have made an impressive start to the season which includes their well-deserved 2-0 win over defending champions Be Forward Wanderers.<\/p>\n
\u201cNevertheless, I am happy to be in charge of Tigers and I am ready for the task,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Fosko, who has a Caf A coaching badge, had stints with several Premier Division sides such as Mchinji Boma and Chikwawa United.<\/p>\n
Alufandika said Fosko\u2019s qualifications and ability to work with young players inspired Kaukau to engage him.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe long wait is finally over. We now have a coach who meets a\u013al the requirements and is good at nurturing youngsters,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The development comes after Tigers Chairperson, Sydney Chikoti, recently expressed disappointment with some coaches who shunned his club after earlier showing interest to join.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
