{"id":64736,"date":"2018-05-02T00:57:59","date_gmt":"2018-05-01T22:57:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=64736"},"modified":"2018-05-02T00:57:59","modified_gmt":"2018-05-01T22:57:59","slug":"ndagwira-mbendera-is-mr-cools-eighth-album","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/05\/02\/ndagwira-mbendera-is-mr-cools-eighth-album\/","title":{"rendered":"\u2018Ndagwira Mbendera\u2019 is Mr Cool\u2019s eighth album"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Musician Anthony Makondetsa\u2019s eighth album is titled <em>Ndagwira Mbendera. <\/em><\/p>\n<p>Makondetsa better known as Mr Cool in the music circles confirmed the title yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>His announcement also follows his pre-launch album show at Lilongwe Golf Club on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cNdagwira Mbendera <\/em>is all about a flag of truth. As I indicated earlier, I revealed the title of my eighth album during the pre-album launch in Lilongwe which was massive as people came in large numbers,\u201d Makondetsa said.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite being a pre-launch, Makondetsa said he did not perform any of the new songs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pre-launch was all about alerting people of this album and not necessarily performing the new songs. People should hold on as the new songs will be out soon,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The \u2018Kambelembele\u2019 architect said the album has 10 songs and that the promotion songs will hit the airwaves later this month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are just making final touches and then we hit the ground but the album is ready,\u201d Makondetsa said.<\/p>\n<p>He said apart from the album, people should also look forward to the musician\u2019s first DVD.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will also release my first DVD this year so it\u2019s a year where people will get a lot from me. Of course due to other challenges beyond my control I have delayed in releasing the new album. I could have done it earlier,\u201d Makondetsa said.<\/p>\n<p>Having shined with his seventh album <em>Fuko Lokondedwa <\/em>which has songs such as \u2018Mu Yuda\u2019, Makondetsa said the new album has a different message.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe message is a bit different and this time around, it\u2019s more fight against evil through the word of God,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Musician Anthony Makondetsa\u2019s eighth album is titled Ndagwira Mbendera.
