{"id":6456,"date":"2015-07-24T08:15:47","date_gmt":"2015-07-24T08:15:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=6456"},"modified":"2015-07-24T08:15:47","modified_gmt":"2015-07-24T08:15:47","slug":"2-businessmen-win-big-in-phwamwamwa-final","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/07\/24\/2-businessmen-win-big-in-phwamwamwa-final\/","title":{"rendered":"2 businessmen win big in Phwamwamwa final"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two lucky businessmen have won the grand prizes in Indebank\u2019s Phwamwamwa promotion following a final draw that was held in Blantyre on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>A Blantyre based business man Joshua Hadji is now a millionaire after winning the K2 million grand prize while a Salima-based businessman, Clement Phiri, has won a maize mill.<\/p>\n<p>The promotion run for three months with an overall objective of inculcating a savings culture among Malawians.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on the occasion to mark the end of the promotion, Indebank head of personal and SME banking, Davie Kavinya, said that Indebank was satisfied with the outcome of the promotion.<\/p>\n<p>He said through the promotion, the bank managed to reach out to some of the unbanked population in Malawi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs Indebank, we are not just interested in giving out loans or getting money from people but we want to transform people\u2019s lives through the services that we give,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>During the ceremony, Indebank also gave out an iPhone smartphone and other consolation prizes during a monthly draw of the promotion which coincided with the final draw.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two lucky businessmen have won the grand prizes in Indebank\u2019s Phwamwamwa promotion following a final draw that was held in Blantyre on Wednesday.
