Residents of Liwaladzi Trading Centre in Nkhotakota Sunday morning woke up to horrifying news that a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death for allegedly tussling over a sex worker.<\/p>\n
Nkhunga Police Public Relations Officer, Ignatius Esau, confirmed the incident yesterday in an interview that the deceased picked up a quarrel with his alleged killer 22-year-old Thokozani Kaunda.<\/p>\n
However, the suspect is on the run.<\/p>\n
Esau said, on Saturday night, the two were drinking at Liwaladzi Trading Centre and they were hanging out with the same sex worker.<\/p>\n
\u201cDisagreements erupted between them after both realised that they were going out with the same sex worker. This resulted into a fight but was successfully stopped by onlookers.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said but when the victim was on his way home, the suspect stabbed him on the chest using a knife and was left unconscious.<\/p>\n
\u201cPassers-by took him to a nearby Liwaladzi Health Centre where he succumbed to the wounds upon arrival,\u201d said Esau adding the suspect is expected to answer a count of murder.<\/p>\n
The victim hailed from Chindevu Village while the suspect comes from Chiusi Village both in the area of Traditional Authority Kanyenda.<\/p>\n
