{"id":64423,"date":"2018-04-25T06:48:05","date_gmt":"2018-04-25T04:48:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=64423"},"modified":"2018-04-25T06:48:05","modified_gmt":"2018-04-25T04:48:05","slug":"coolpro-club-set-to-open-at-malosa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/04\/25\/coolpro-club-set-to-open-at-malosa\/","title":{"rendered":"CoolPro Club set to open at Malosa"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_64428\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-64428\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/duffy-chikakuda.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-64428\" src=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/duffy-chikakuda-300x221.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"221\" srcset=\"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/duffy-chikakuda-300x221.jpg 300w, https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/04\/duffy-chikakuda.jpg 495w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-64428\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Duffy Chikakuda<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>CoolPro International Club which is situated at Namwera Turnoff, Malosa in Zomba will open its doors on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Proprietor of the club, Duffy Chikakuda, who is also a music promoter and works with artists such as Queen Fayah, said Tuesday that the grand opening will be spiced by a Reggae Fest that will feature several acts including Chileka reggae group Black Missionaries.<\/p>\n<p>The other acts geared to set the venue on fire during the Reggae Fest include Anthony Makondetsa, Beanca, Liz BK, Goodwell Thunga and Don Tarz.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are excited to open this entertainment joint and I created it because I noticed that between Zomba and Liwonde, there are few entertainment spots,\u201d Chikakuda said.<\/p>\n<p>He said Malosa in Zomba is his home and that the place has in the past been vibrant but now it is no longer active \u201cWhere CoolPro is situated, it\u2019s the main trading centre, back in the days, Malosa was hot in entertainment but of late it has been cold, so I want through this joint to revive Malosa,\u201d Chikakuda said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that CoolPro has, among others, a main bar that will be hosting disco and all sorts of entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have tried as much as possible to make sure that it serves people of all class. As an entertainment joint we will strive to be hosting high profile shows as part of giving maximum entertainment,\u201d Chikakuda said.<\/p>\n<p>He also said through the club, they want to promote talent.<\/p>\n<p>According to Chikakuda, CoolPro when filled to capacity can take up to 7,000 people.<\/p>\n<p>He said the opening of the structure is also part of helping the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have employed not less than 20 people which is good. Again when having shows, people doing business will have a chance to boost their businesses, it\u2019s not about us making money but helping the community and also face-lifting Zomba,\u201d Chikakuda said.<\/p>\n<p>He said they want Malosa to get back to its good old days and that through CoolPro attract more investors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CoolPro International Club which is situated at Namwera Turnoff, Malosa in Zomba will open its doors on Saturday.
