Kamuzu Barracks assistant Coach, Temwa Msuku, has said it is too early to rule them out of the TNM Super League championship race after suffering a humiliating 3-0 defeat to hosts Silver Strikers in Lilongwe on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Msuku said they would recover from the back-to-back losses, including 1-0 to Nyasa Big Bullets the previous week.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe played well in the first-half but it was a bad day at the office in the second-half. This is just the second game of the season so we will come back stronger in the next game. We can also overtake all teams and win the league title,\u201d said Msuku whose side has lost last season\u2019s top goal scorer Kelvin Hanganda (11 goals) and Harvey Nkacha due to work commitments.<\/p>\n
The soldiers are yet to score in the league this season and have conceded four goals.<\/p>\n
In 2016, the soldiers also started in a similar fashion after losing three consecutive games but ended up winning the title for the first time in their history.<\/p>\n
For Silver, the win was a perfect response to last week\u2019s 1-2 loss to Be Forward Wanderers.<\/p>\n
Silver Team Manager, Francis Songo, was equally satisfied with the result.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe needed to take-off after a bad start to the season. The victory is important to boost players\u2019 morale in the early stages of the season,\u201d Songo said.<\/p>\n
Jack Chiona hammered a brace in the first-half before Mphatso Filimoni added the third in the second-half.<\/p>\n
