Football Association of Malawi (Fam) continues to keep information regarding its April 21 Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Mzuzu under wraps.<\/p>\n
This is a continuation of an information blackout that started with the association\u2019s Executive Committee meeting which took place in Mzuzu last month.<\/p>\n
Fam did not release details of resolutions made at the meeting, which streamlines agenda items for the AGM.<\/p>\n
The association\u2019s General Secretary, Alfred Gunda, said he did not want to pre-empt the agenda of the AGM scheduled for Mzuzu Hotel.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have statutes that will regulate the agenda. That is all I can say,\u201d he said in a brief response.<\/p>\n
Among the items that are likely to dominate discussions at the meeting is Flames\u2019 Head Coach, Ronny van Geneugden\u2019s unilateral appointment of under-17 and 20 national team coaches.<\/p>\n
Some members of Fam Youth and Technical Committee and National Football Coaches Association disagreed with their mother body on the matter.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, one of Fam\u2019s influential affiliates, Southern Region Football Association (SRFA), has since postponed the kick-off of its 2018 season to pave way for the AGM.<\/p>\n
SRFA Chairperson, Raphael Humba, confirmed that their league\u2019s kick-off has been shifted from April 21 to next month.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe need to join our fellow stakeholders in Mzuzu for the Fam meeting. We cannot get our season underway without full representation of various stakeholders who are supposed to witness the occasion,\u201d Humba said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
