{"id":63359,"date":"2018-04-03T06:53:52","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:53:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=63359"},"modified":"2018-04-03T06:53:52","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:53:52","slug":"pre-budget-meetings-seen-as-success","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/04\/03\/pre-budget-meetings-seen-as-success\/","title":{"rendered":"Pre-budget meetings seen as success"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Finance has said the pre-budget meetings it has so far conducted have been a success.<\/p>\n<p>Pre-budget meetings are conducted annually by the ministry to solicit views from various sections of society to be included in the formulation of the country\u2019s financial budget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had positive contributions from a wide section of the Malawi society including people in rural areas, civil society, academia, religious institutions, farmers and professional bodies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe exercise has given the Ministry of Finance a picture of what Malawians want to be included in the forthcoming budget,\u201d Ministry of Finance Spokesperson Davis Sado said.<\/p>\n<p>Sado further said the ministry also engaged the youth to guide the government on what youth programmes should be included in the budget.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Finance has said the pre-budget meetings it has so far conducted have been a success.
