{"id":63346,"date":"2018-04-03T06:22:22","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:22:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=63346"},"modified":"2018-04-03T06:22:22","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:22:22","slug":"malawians-sink-in-two-oceans","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/04\/03\/malawians-sink-in-two-oceans\/","title":{"rendered":"Malawians sink in Two Oceans"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>South Africa-based athlete, Peter Chiwaya, finished on position 278 out of 11,000 runners in a 56-kilometre category for Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon held on Saturday in Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>Chiwaya competed alongside runners from 84 countries, including another Malawian Chiyembekezo Jamali.<\/p>\n<p>Chiwaya clocked 4:14:09 in the race, which Kenyan Justin Kembo won in 03:09:2.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview from South Africa, Chiwaya said he believes he is on the right track to doing better next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy goal was to do it [complete the race] in four hours, and it was possible based on how I divided my time. At Chapmans Peak, we had strong winds which made me struggle. At Constantina Neck, I also struggled because it is hilly.
