{"id":63329,"date":"2018-04-03T06:01:11","date_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:01:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=63329"},"modified":"2018-04-03T06:01:11","modified_gmt":"2018-04-03T04:01:11","slug":"call-it-shalom-palace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/04\/03\/call-it-shalom-palace\/","title":{"rendered":"Call it Shalom Palace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Monarchy Square in Blantyre has changed its name to Shalom Palace.<\/p>\n<p>Manager Henry Mwale confirmed the development Monday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s no longer Monarchy Square because the place has new owners, who are very keen to promote the creative industry in the country,\u201d Mwale said.<\/p>\n<p>Shalom Palace, which has, among other things, conference facilities, is also refurbishing its amphitheatre.<\/p>\n<p>The amphitheatre will play host to music performances and other engagements.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe amphitheatre will be open to live music shows, weddings and other activities,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The proprietors of Shalom Palace are Tahit Networks headed by Michael Kasinja.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith artists having challenges with venues, this will bridge this gap.
