PARTNERSHIP\u2014Lawi (left) and Namadingo have done well in their music<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Mzuzu City will be the first to sample a live music concert involving musicians Lawi and Patience Namadingo in an Easter tour that will also take them to Lilongwe and Blantyre.<\/p>\n

This is also the first show for the two acts since they announced that they had put their feet together in a partnership that would see them holding performances and producing music together.<\/p>\n

The concert in Mzuzu is tonight at Mzuzu Hotel and, tomorrow night, the show goes to Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe and then, on Easter Monday, the two acts will perform at Comesa Hall in Blantyre.<\/p>\n

Namadingo, who is enjoying his music and recently became the ambassador of Ecobank and DStv, said Mzuzu has always been sidelined when it comes to holding shows but now they have to sample it first.<\/p>\n

\u201cMzuzu is always sidelined but, this time around, we are taking the show to them and, as such, it\u2019s pretty exciting because we are taking the show to their doorstep,\u201d Namadingo said.<\/p>\n

The singer and guitarist, famed for songs such as \u2018Msati Mseke\u2019 and \u2018Mtendere\u2019, said Mzuzu was just like any other city.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe listen to downloaded music all the time but we must remember, it is 100+50% impossible to download a live music experience,\u201d said the musician, who released the single \u2018Goliyati\u2019 recently.<\/p>\n

He said they have had fun rehearsing.<\/p>\n

Lawi, who has just received a nomination in the Nyasa Music Awards in the category of Album of the Year for his Sunset in the Sky<\/em>, said: \u201cMzuzu here we come\u201d.<\/p>\n

He further said he cannot wait to get to the stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cMzuzu will experience the best music ever. This is my first ever show this year and this is the first time ever with Patience,\u201d Lawi said.<\/p>\n

Lawi\u2019s manager, Emmanuel Maliro, said they were looking forward to the show in Mzuzu and called on people to come in large numbers.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want history to be created with this show but, being Easter, this is also a gift to them so we want people to come in large numbers and help Lawi and Patience make that history. People have said Mzuzu is sidelined but this comes in because of costs,\u201d Maliro said.<\/p>\n

He was, however, quick to say the show would also serve as a springboard for Lawi and Namadingo\u2018s performances in the Northern Region.<\/p>\n

Maliro hailed the corporate world for making it possible for the Easter shows to take place in the three cities of Mzuzu, Lilongwe and Blantyre.<\/p>\n
