{"id":63003,"date":"2018-03-28T05:55:11","date_gmt":"2018-03-28T03:55:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=63003"},"modified":"2018-03-28T05:55:12","modified_gmt":"2018-03-28T03:55:12","slug":"jacob-zuma-to-fight-back-on-corruption-charges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/28\/jacob-zuma-to-fight-back-on-corruption-charges\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacob Zuma to fight back on corruption charges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lawyers representing South Africa\u2019s former President Jacob Zuma have said they will challenge the state prosecutor\u2019s decision to charge him with corruption, reports IOL news site.<\/p>\n<p>Zuma was issued with court summons in connection with a multi-billion dollar arms deal on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>The news site quotes Zuma\u2019s lawyer Michael Hulley as saying \u201cwe are preparing an application to review the NDPP\u2019s (National Director of Public Prosecution) decision to prosecute (Zuma)\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators have moved swiftly to charge Zuma since he lost power.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s alleged a French arms company paid a bribe as protection from being investigated.
