{"id":62946,"date":"2018-03-27T07:01:43","date_gmt":"2018-03-27T05:01:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=62946"},"modified":"2018-03-27T07:17:52","modified_gmt":"2018-03-27T05:17:52","slug":"kukoma-sponsors-eagles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/27\/kukoma-sponsors-eagles\/","title":{"rendered":"Kukoma sponsors Eagles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Capital Oil Refining Industries (Cori) has, through its product Kukoma cooking oil, pledged to bankroll Southern Zone Basketball League budding ladies\u2019 side, Eagles.<\/p>\n<p>The two parties confirmed the development on Saturday after disclosing that the sponsorship will be launched on April 21 when the team stages a day-long invitational tournament at the Blantyre Youth Centre.<\/p>\n<p>Cori Sponsorship Coordinator, Violet Kapolo, said they felt obliged to support Eagles, following a well-detailed proposal from the team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have bought the team a set of uniform. Kukoma is a brand for all and our product is fortified with vitamins, which makes it good for everyone, especially sportsmen,\u201d said Kapolo, whose company also sponsors Kukoma Diamonds Netball Team, among other disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>Eagles Vice- Captain, Sekai Mponda, said they were excited to have secured the sponsorship.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe that, with the sponsorship, we would be able to challenge for titles this coming season.
