{"id":62760,"date":"2018-03-23T10:33:56","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T08:33:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=62760"},"modified":"2018-03-23T10:33:56","modified_gmt":"2018-03-23T08:33:56","slug":"flames-to-leave-in-two-groups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/23\/flames-to-leave-in-two-groups\/","title":{"rendered":"Flames to leave in two groups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi national football team will leave in two groups for Uganda to play a strength-testing match against the Cranes in Kampala on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Each group comprises five players and three officials, and the first delegation was expected to leave yesterday through Chileka International Airport while the second group is scheduled to leave today.<\/p>\n<p>The Flames Team Manager, James Sangala, said the team will leave in two groups following late communication from the airliner that they cannot accommodate the team at once.<\/p>\n<p>Sangala said Mozambique-based players, Frank Banda and Charles Swini, who were expected to join the squad yesterday, would travel with the last group that will join their colleagues in Kampala tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe planned to leave together on Saturday but we were communicated that we will depart on Friday [today]. It might affect us in one way or another,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Other foreign-based players namely Captain Limbikani Mzava, who plays for South Africa\u2019s Premier Soccer League side, Golden Arrows, joined camp on Tuesday alongside Baroka FC\u2019s Robin Ngalande and Portugal-based Richard Mbulu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Malawi national football team will leave in two groups for Uganda to play a strength-testing match against the Cranes in Kampala on Tuesday.
