{"id":62264,"date":"2018-03-14T10:29:42","date_gmt":"2018-03-14T08:29:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=62264"},"modified":"2018-03-14T10:29:42","modified_gmt":"2018-03-14T08:29:42","slug":"police-reduce-criminal-cases-by-22-in-lilongwe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/14\/police-reduce-criminal-cases-by-22-in-lilongwe\/","title":{"rendered":"Police reduce criminal cases by 22% in Lilongwe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>L<\/strong>ilongwe Police says criminal cases have been reduced by 22 percent in February compared to the same month last year.<\/p>\n<p>Lilongwe Police Spokesperson, Kingsley Dandaula, said in February this year, police registered 531 cases while in 2017, 632 cases were registered.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe reduced the cases that range from break-ins, robberies and assault just to mention a few,\u201d he said<\/p>\n<p>Dandaula added that the success has been achieved due to the good working relationship between the police and the public.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking with members of the general public through community policing has helped us so much because they act as the eye of the police,\u201d said Dandaula.<\/p>\n<p>He said intensive purposive evening and day patrols from different departments, have helped the police service in Lilongwe to reduce criminal cases.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lilongwe Police says criminal cases have been reduced by 22 percent in February compared to the same month last year.
