{"id":61908,"date":"2018-03-08T09:57:36","date_gmt":"2018-03-08T07:57:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=61908"},"modified":"2018-03-08T09:57:36","modified_gmt":"2018-03-08T07:57:36","slug":"from-thyolo-with-debut-dvd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/08\/from-thyolo-with-debut-dvd\/","title":{"rendered":"From Thyolo with debut DVD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Chisomo Women\u2019s Choir Thyolo CCAP will this Sunday unveil their DVD titled <em>Yesu Pobwera <\/em>at Thyolo CCAP Church.<\/p>\n<p>The 20-member women choir which was formed to minister the word of God through music first dropped the <em>Yesu Pobwera <\/em>CD before working on its DVD.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has not been that easy to come up with the DVD but God has been on our side. We are thankful to God for the talent and again we would like to thank all those who assisted us throughout the project,\u201d Pilirani Nowa Muliyekha, the group\u2019s vice chairlady said.<\/p>\n<p>Choir master, Ida Chindozi Banda, said they have worked very hard as a group and that they were looking for nothing but the best during the launch.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always difficult for groups especially in rural areas to produce a DVD. It costs a lot and you have to really work extra hard. All the same we want to have the DVD on the ground so as to reach out to more people,\u201d Banda said.<\/p>\n<p>The 11-track DVD has songs such as \u2018Ambuye Wauka\u2019, \u2018Gwiritsani Yesu\u2019, \u2018Ndidze Pafupipa\u2019, \u2018Zizindikiro Za Nthawi\u2019, \u2018Ine Ndalapa\u2019, and \u2018Panjira Ya Chikhristu\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>But typical of many church choirs in the country who use unprofessional producers, who do shoddy work, it is the same thing with the <em>Yesu Pobwera <\/em>DVD which has shortfalls.<\/p>\n<p>Music videos require quality and creativity but that lacks in most of the songs in the DVD.<\/p>\n<p>With that said many women choirs score points on presentation and it is the same with Chisomo Women\u2019s Choir Thyolo CCAP.<\/p>\n<p>The launch will be spiced up by several other acts with Favoured Martha as the guest artist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chisomo Women\u2019s Choir Thyolo CCAP will this Sunday unveil their DVD titled Yesu Pobwera at Thyolo CCAP Church.
