Dwangwa United Coach, Lloyd Nkhwazi, has said he snubbed a coaching job at Masters Security FC because his heart belongs to the lakeshore side.<\/p>\n
Masters hired Nkhwazi temporarily to beef up the technical panel during the Confederation of African Football Cup preliminary round games against Atletico Petro de Luanda of Angola.<\/p>\n
But reports emerged that Masters wanted to hire the former Nyasa Big Bullets mentor on a permanent basis.<\/p>\n
However, Nkhwazi said his loyalty is to Dwangwa.<\/p>\n
\u201cDwangwa is my home. I have coached the team for over 14 years. I cannot dump the team that has huge respect for me. I work without pressure at Dwangwa.<\/p>\n
\u201cI did not sign a contract with Masters but they wanted to give me an outright contract. So, there are several factors that I considered. One of them is that I have a running contract with Dwangwa, so I cannot disappoint the team,\u201d he said, adding that he learnt a lot during his stint with Masters.<\/p>\n
Reports suggest Masters are interested in hiring former Bullets coach Nsanzurwimo Ramadhan to beef up the Abasi Makawa-led coaching panel.<\/p>\n
Nkhwazi, who has since joined Dwangwa\u2019s preseason training, said he was not aware that, in his absence, the team fired last season\u2019s second goal-scorer Grecian Chinkhande.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe is still in my plans. He helped us to remain in the league by scoring vital goals [last season]. So, I cannot let him go,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Nkhwazi helped Dwangwa survive relegation in the TNM Super League after succeeding Macdonald Mtetemera.<\/p>\n
