{"id":61539,"date":"2018-03-01T11:37:42","date_gmt":"2018-03-01T09:37:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=61539"},"modified":"2018-03-01T11:37:42","modified_gmt":"2018-03-01T09:37:42","slug":"total-commits-to-road-safety","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/03\/01\/total-commits-to-road-safety\/","title":{"rendered":"Total commits to road safety"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Total Malawi, on Tuesday donated road safety kits and exercise books to St Kizito and Limbe Girls Primary Schools, both based in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>Total Malawi Managing Director, Aegidia Schnepp, said Total is committed to support road safety and that the donation is part of the firm\u2019s long-term initiative of ensuring that Malawi\u2019s roads are safe.<\/p>\n<p>She said Total had in recent years, donated similar safety cubes to various primary schools across Malawi.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to ensure that our students cross the roads without any difficulties. As such, the safety cubes will help in reducing accidents involving pupils,\u201d Schnepp said.<\/p>\n<p>Rashy Transport Managing Director, Rashid Gaffar, said as a partner of Total Malawi, his firm is committed to maximum safety on the roads of Malawi.<\/p>\n<p>Blantyre District Education Manager, Evelyn Mjima, thanked Total Malawi for the donation.<\/p>\n<p>She said gone are the days, when pupils died on the roads due to lack of safety equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe believe pupils must travel safely to and from schools.
