Mhura died in the United States of America (USA) on Monday last week.<\/p>\n<p>According to a statement released yesterday by the Office of the President and Cabinet, Mhura\u2019s remains will arrive through Chileka International Airport in the afternoon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe remains of the late ambassador, Necton Mhura, who until his death was a permanent representative of the Republic of Malawi to the United Nations will arrive in Malawi on Tuesday, 27th February, 2018, through Chileka International Airport at 3:15 pm aboard Ethiopian Airways flight number ET 21,\u201d reads the statement in part.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further states that the burial ceremony of Mhura will take place at St. Mary\u2019s Cemetery in Zomba on March 1.<\/p>\n<p>Mhura served from 2015 as the country\u2019s ambassador to the USA, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Bahamas and Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n<p>He also worked as a research fellow at the University of Edinburgh in the United Kingdom from 1985 to 1988.<\/p>\n<p>Mhura served as dean of the Faculty of Law at Chancellor College of the University of Malawi between 2004 and 2007.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The body of Necton Mhura, who was Malawi\u2019s ambassador to the United Nations, is expected to arrive in the country Tuesday.
