{"id":60632,"date":"2018-02-13T11:05:11","date_gmt":"2018-02-13T09:05:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=60632"},"modified":"2018-02-13T11:05:12","modified_gmt":"2018-02-13T09:05:12","slug":"uk-instructors-to-train-60-netball-coaches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/02\/13\/uk-instructors-to-train-60-netball-coaches\/","title":{"rendered":"UK instructors to train 60 netball coaches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Netball Association of Malawi (Nam) has earmarked 60 coaches to undergo a basic netball clinic for coaching and umpiring under the guidance of United Kingdom-based instructors Heather Gleadall and Amy Ann Ruffell.<\/p>\n<p>The one-week course is due to start at Blantyre Youth Centre today, and participants have been drawn from across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Nam General Secretary, Carol Bapu, said the course was one of the programmes which the association has put in place to revive netball in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThose that will do well in the basic course will be shortlisted for advanced courses,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>One of the budding coaches, Christina Mkwanda-Nsinji of Thunder Queens, hailed Nam for organising the course.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe course is important to us because some of us have attended basic courses facilitated by Mr [Griffin] Saenda in his role as Southern Region Sports Development Officer.
