{"id":60227,"date":"2018-02-06T08:23:45","date_gmt":"2018-02-06T06:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=60227"},"modified":"2018-02-06T08:23:45","modified_gmt":"2018-02-06T06:23:45","slug":"mum-south-chapter-targets-more-members","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/02\/06\/mum-south-chapter-targets-more-members\/","title":{"rendered":"Mum South Chapter targets more members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Musicians Union of Malawi (Mum) Southern Chapter chairperson, Tony Chitimatima, has called on musicians in the chapter not to work in isolation but join the body.<\/p>\n<p>Chitimatima, who assumed the position of chairperson late last year, after succeeding Papa Mtume, said this during a meeting held at Chrichi Gardens in Blantyre recently.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe cannot forge ahead if we work in isolation. So, as leader for the Southern Chapter, I am calling upon musicians to join the body. They say in unity there is strength. We want all musicians, both secular and gospel, to be members,\u201d Chitimatima said.<\/p>\n<p>He said that he has embarked on an initiative aimed at meeting artists one by one.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have top artists who are based in the South Chapter in the country. We want them to be members.
