{"id":5980,"date":"2015-07-15T10:11:28","date_gmt":"2015-07-15T10:11:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=5980"},"modified":"2015-07-15T10:11:28","modified_gmt":"2015-07-15T10:11:28","slug":"thugs-attack-big-bullets-player-eneya-banda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2015\/07\/15\/thugs-attack-big-bullets-player-eneya-banda\/","title":{"rendered":"Thugs attack Big Bullets player Eneya Banda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unidentified thugs attacked Big Bullets midfielder Eneya Banda at the Limbe Market on Sunday and in the process stole his two mobile phones and left him with a deep cut on his hand.<\/p>\n<p>Bullets technical director, Billy Tewesa, said the issue was reported at Limbe Police and Banda was treated as an outpatient at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know whether it is a football related issue. However, it happened at around 5:30 pm on Sunday outside the Limbe Market when he wanted to connect to Bangwe on his way from Soche. Meanwhile, Police have promised to get back to us since investigations are underway,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tewesa said they were waiting for medical recommendations before Banda resumes training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is supposed to go for a check up on Wednesday [today]. We will follow what the doctors we advise us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tewesa said they hope the thugs would be identified and brought to justice.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is affected psychologically. We are following the issue with keen interest as his life was under risk,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Banda has been phenomenal at Bullets since he signed for the People\u2019s Team from Karonga United.
