{"id":59766,"date":"2018-01-28T15:42:40","date_gmt":"2018-01-28T13:42:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=59766"},"modified":"2018-01-28T15:42:40","modified_gmt":"2018-01-28T13:42:40","slug":"award-night-for-times-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/01\/28\/award-night-for-times-group\/","title":{"rendered":"Award night for Times Group"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Times Group continued to shine by scooping media awards in the TNM Super League and the Mo626 National Bank of Malawi (NBM) College Basketball tournament during separate presentation ceremonies held on Friday evening in Blantyre.<\/p>\n<p>The country\u2019s biggest media house sparkled in the Super League awards as Williams Gondwa emerged the second best radio football commentator, while Yohane Chideya and Peter Kanjere were third and second respectively in the print category.<\/p>\n<p>Pilirani Kachinziri came second in the television reporters\u2019 category to crown the night for Times who are ever-present in all media awards for various competitions.<\/p>\n<p>In the NBM College basketball awards, it was Ronald Mpaso\u2019s show as he won the best print and second best electronic media reporter at a ceremony held at the bank\u2019s Learning Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The basketball competition was played between October and December last year with 25 colleges from the three regions of the country fighting for top prizes in both male and female categories.<\/p>\n<p>The Group\u2019s Sports Editor, Kanjere, said the media house values hardwork and professionalism in discharging its duties to satisfy expectations of viewers, listeners and readers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt feels great to be recognised for doing a good job. We owe the success to our audiences in all the platforms of radio, television and newspapers.
