{"id":59418,"date":"2018-01-22T13:04:42","date_gmt":"2018-01-22T11:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=59418"},"modified":"2018-01-22T13:04:43","modified_gmt":"2018-01-22T11:04:43","slug":"jafali-chande-sent-back-for-reporting-late-at-training","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/01\/22\/jafali-chande-sent-back-for-reporting-late-at-training\/","title":{"rendered":"Jafali Chande sent back for reporting late at training"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The continued absence of some Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 stars in the team\u2019s warm up matches has raised more questions than answers.<br \/>\nWanderers have since issued a stern warning to all players that discipline is paramount at the Lali Lubani Road.<br \/>\nWith three weeks remaining before Wanderers face AS Vita of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) in the Caf Champions League, the list of absentees, in strength-testing matches, has included controversial forward Jafali Chande, defender Stanley Sanudi and midfielders Isaac Kaliati and Jabulani Linje.<br \/>\nThe four players have not featured for Wanderers in two friendlies, including in the recent 0-1 loss to UD Songo in Mozambique.<br \/>\nKaliati is reportedly unwell whereas Sanudi started training last week. Linje has been linked with a move to a team in Japan after passing trials.<br \/>\nDetails have emerged that some players have been absconding training, raising speculation that they have issues with the club.<br \/>\nOn Wednesday, Chande was sent back for late arrival at the team\u2019s training venue in Blantyre, and he boycotted Thursday and Friday\u2019s training sessions.<br \/>\nWanderers Team Manager, Steve Madeira, yesterday said discipline was essential at any work-place.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have a pool of 30 players, so we cannot go into homes, forcing someone to report for training. If someone is not coming for training, it means he has valid reasons but we cannot force them to do the work they are paid for. Going forward, we will be strict on discipline because this is serious business,\u201d Madeira said.<br \/>\nLast year, Nomads Coach, Yasin Osman, removed Chande from the squad that beat Moyale Barracks 3-2 in the Airtel Top 8 Cup, for disciplinary reasons.<br \/>\nChande was not readily available for his comment.<br \/>\nWanderers defeated Masters Security 4-0 in their second strength-testing match played at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday, courtesy of goals from Peter Wadabwa, Esau Kanyenda, Yamikani Chester and Ted Sumani.<br \/>\nThe TNM Super League champions are returning to Caf Champions League after 17 years of absence.<br \/>\nMasters will make their maiden appearance in the Confederation Cup when they face Angolan side, Petro de Luanda, next month. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The continued absence of some Be Forward Wanderers\u2019 stars in the team\u2019s warm up matches has raised more questions than answers.
