Horizon Health Limited has donated theatre gowns to Gogo Chatinkha Maternity Wing at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.
\nQECH Health Services Administrator, Kondwani Chisi, and one of the maternity wing\u2019s matrons, Christina Mbiza, said the donation would alleviate the challenges the unit encounters, especially during Caesarian Section operations.
\n\u201cThe donation is timely considering that we can have 20 operations in a day.
\n\u201cWe have so many challenges and what Horizon Health has done is very commendable. We urge other companies to emulate this example,\u201d he said.
\nHorizon Health is a locally registered company, which started its operations in Malawi in 2010, with the goal of providing healthcare insurance solutions in Malawi and beyond.
\nAccording to the company\u2019s Operations Manager, Evelisto Uzeni-Phiri, Horizon Health Limited is owned and managed by Malawian professionals, who teamed up to provide effective and efficient health insurance in the country.
\n\u201cPropelled by our quest to offer the best corporate services responsibilities, and governed by our core values of integrity, transparency, innovation and excellent service, we decided to come in to assist after noting the existence of challenges at this maternity wing.
