{"id":59107,"date":"2018-01-16T20:25:10","date_gmt":"2018-01-16T18:25:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/?p=59107"},"modified":"2018-01-16T20:25:10","modified_gmt":"2018-01-16T18:25:10","slug":"azam-tigers-bitter-with-charles-manda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/archive.times.mw\/index.php\/2018\/01\/16\/azam-tigers-bitter-with-charles-manda\/","title":{"rendered":"Azam Tigers bitter with Charles Manda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Azam Tigers FC Technical Director, Robin Alufandika, has accused Charles Manda of allegedly being dishonest for dumping the team after reaching an agreement to become its coach.<br \/>\nLast week, Alufandika told The Daily Times that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.times.mw\/azam-tigers-hire-charles-manda\/\">they had hired Manda to replace Patrick Kulemeka<\/a> who is busy with studies.<br \/>\nBut Alufandika said he was surprised to learn that Manda was in talks with newly promoted Nchalo United.<br \/>\n\u201cWe held talks with him [Manda] and we reached an agreement for him to start working when we begin pre-season preparations early next month.<br \/>\n\u201cWe even paid his January house rentals. He is not an honest man. We don\u2019t have a problem with him moving to another club, but he could have come in the open and said \u2018abambo you have saved me during the time I was not employed, can I go for greener pastures?\u2019 We could have allowed him to go,\u201d Alufandika said.<br \/>\nHe said even though Manda did not sign a written contract, he considers verbal talks they had with him as part of an agreement.<br \/>\n\u201cWe only held verbal talks. If you are dealing with honest people, you can have a verbal contract and it works, but if you are dealing with people who are not honest, a written contract is required in case something comes up, as in this case. However, we don\u2019t mind, any coach can come and go,\u201d he said.<br \/>\nManda disagreed with Alufandika, saying he never had an agreement with the team.<br \/>\n\u201cThey only asked me to assist the team during the last [TNM Super League] games between Kamuzu Barracks and Mafco. I was surprised to hear that they had hired me.
