Nyasa Big Bullets supporters have vowed to mount a legal challenge on intentions by former administrators who are opposing the handover of the club to Nyasa Manufacturing Company (NMC).
\nAccording to yesterday\u2019s The Nation newspaper, some former Bullets officials, trustees and fans have instructed lawyer Lusungu Gondwe to obtain an injunction restraining NMC from proceeding with the takeover on the grounds that \u201cit was done dubiously\u201d.
\nBut addressing a press briefing yesterday at Bullets Club House in Blantyre, s u p p o r t e r s C o m m i t t e e Chairman, Stone Mwamadi, said his committee is ready to challenge any injunction aimed at stopping the takeover.
\n\u201cAll stakeholders of the club endorsed the takeover at a general assembly in Lilongwe. This is a matter that we already dealt with.
\n\u201cWe are not here to discuss the takeover. We just wanted to let you know that we are well prepared to challenge any injunction aimed at stopping the takeover,\u201d Mwamadi said.
\nHe said zonal and district chairpersons had travelled from districts such as Mulanje and Nsanje to express their solidarity with the takeover bid.
\nIn a separate interview, Bullets General Secretary, Albert Chigoga, reiterated that the takeover was endorsed by a duly-constituted assembly and attempts to stop the process would fail.
\nAs one of the conditions for taking over ownership of the club, NMC has bought a bus for the club.
